Josie Maria will soon to be our home till November 2014, and the short stay for many other travellers wishing to fulfil their life's dream of sailing to amazing destinations.
Vicki and I would like to keep in touch and while we may post some things on Facebook, this will be our preferred method of letting our friends and family know how our travel plans are progressing, our current and future destinations as we make our way from the UK, to the Mediterranean then cross the Atlantic on the ARC + Rally , settle down in the Caribbean for a few months, stop over the Galapagos and then make our way through the South Pacific and arrive back in Australia sometime in October/November 2014.
We are currently planning to leave from Ipswich, UK from Fox Marina on the 10th August. The "handover" of the boat will occur two days prior. Vicki and I are planning to leave Canberra for the UK around the 18th July

Josie Maria will be an excellent ocean passage maker with four cabins and a spacious saloon. At. 32 ton, she will be the ideal boat to sail half way around the world. She is 17.89m in length, a cutter rigged yacht with in-mast furling currently being built in Wroxham (UK) and powered by a 150HP Volvo Penta D3-150 Engine.
Josie Maria can and berth eight people in luxury and ten people in a pinch, and has many other modern features , including satellite Internet so that both Vicki and I can continue to run our businesses from our yacht and guests can stay in contact. Other outrageous features are ; water maker, dryer, dish washer, 3D TV, sound system, air-conditioning and video editing suite !
The Toys
Josie Maria will equipped with two Cayago F7 Seabobs, two lithium powered Brompton folding bikes, four sets of scuba gear and more that a dozen or more different sized half and full-size wetsuits and snorkeling/spear fishing gear for a large group, plus a 20HP 3.4M RIB to pick up divers and tow some tubes.

Close friends and family who have been emailed this link from our email blast (as opposed to folks who have found this blog through Facebook or other means) and who wish to join us may stay with us in the Caribbean from February to March 2014 for a week or two for some sun, sailing and underwater adventures.
